Finding the right character sheets for Pathfinder 1st Edition can feel a bit like searching for a needle in a haystack. With the rising popularity of Pathfinder 2nd Edition and the heavy reliance on Virtual Table Tops (VTT), it left me and other enjoyers of the older game wondering, "Where did all the resources go?"
I recently embarked on this quest myself and found that nostalgia drives many of us to seek out the original materials we cherished.
The Search Begins
I kicked off my search at the official Pathfinder website (https://paizo.com/pathfinder), hoping to find the resources I once relied on. Unfortunately, the only character sheets available were for 2nd Edition. Sure, the newer edition has its advantages, but there’s something special about the classic 1st Edition game-play that is hard to replace. This frustrating start propelled me on a deeper search.
Digging Through Digital Ruins
I turned to forums and Reddit threads, believing I might stumble upon hidden gems or find community members willing to share their resources. Instead, I found a jumbled mix of links to outdated websites and posts that served as reminders of the past. Many character sheets were either oversimplified or lacked the vital details that made Pathfinder 1e an engaging experience. About 75% of the links I clicked led to dead ends, which only added to my frustration.
Uncovering Precious Resources
However, I persisted. After combing through countless pages of forum discussions, I finally discovered promising references. Some users kept referencing to an individual's site that still had access to the old character sheets.. the name they referenced was NECEROS. I saw images of this individual's character sheets and knew that I must find these sheets. Then, I finally hit the jackpot!
I found Neceros' website which linked to his Google drive and it offered a treasure trove of Pathfinder 1e character sheets. They were not only customizable but also packed with nostalgia. These sheets included essential elements—skill sets, abilities, and equipment listings—while capturing the classic feel of the original game.
I want to say thank you to Neceros for saving these old sheets and for sharing them with us. Now the journey has concluded and those that wish to not use a VTT and play Pathfinder 1e can do so, just like in days past.
Below you will find a copy of the Pathfinder 1e Character Sheets by Neceros. One is a simple pdf, that you can print and fill out, and the other has forms and allows you to update the sheet prior to printing.
